According to Catherine Austin Fitts, the United States Navy hired a Danish-based tech company and tasked it with producing implantable microchips that will be compatible with the Ripple blockchain. A video, which was posted on Twitter, showed Fitts talking about the deal between the United States Navy and an unnamed Danish firm. While she didn’t give details about the partnership and the use of Ripple’s blockchain, she said that her information is reliable because she has years of experience of doing business with the Danish. In her words;
“They had one of the tech firms in Denmark [which] was being paid by the US Navy to come up with a chip that could be implanted in the human body that could integrate with Ripple. Ripple is crypto and it’s the one that’s gotten a lot of promotion from the American establishment in my experience, just my impression”.

Ripple is already the most controversial blockchain firm in the space. Now, if what Fitts has said is true, Ripple is going to get a lot of backlash from the cryptocurrency community. If the navy is going to use Ripple’s technology to create microchips, then the company has gone against everything that blockchain technology represents.

Many people have already reacted negatively to the post as it gives the entire cryptocurrency and blockchain industry a bad name. Ripple might benefit financially from such a deal but it will lose what little support it has left in the cryptocurrency community.
